Shortly after announcing the release of his new single ‘End of an Era‘ he did with Lisa van Harmelen, DJ Lauwy announced that he will release his last artist album on his Instagram. “The word is out; my new artist album will be called “The Last Chapter” and it will be my very last artist album as DJ Lauwy.It’s all about closing off things in life and reflecting on some good memories and lifelessons.” he wrote.
It’s not just a coincidence that ‘End of an Era’ is referring to ‘The Last Chapter’. “That’s also why a lot of titles on the album have relating names, such as “End of an Era”, the track I did with Lisa van Harmelen.” He further tells that this album has been a big project which changed him as a person as well; “Back in the summer of 2019 I started with the first projects for this album. I had no actual idea for it yet. But in summer of 2021 everything fell in place. I had a lot of time to think about stuff and I felt the urge for some changes, even as a person myself by started sporting, being a better human for our planet and eating healthier which resulted in losing 17kg in half a year which I’m super proud of. And obviously also music wise. So the idea came alive for my last album as DJ Lauwy to sort of honor all the years under this name.”
A release date has been given as well along with a suprise. “The album will be released on the 26th of May and after “The Last Chapter” I have one last single to close it all of.”
“But where one door closes, another one will open.” he continues. ” I’m absolutely not quitting DJ’ing and making music! Making music is my number one hobbies to do as long as I will live. So I thought it was time for a change, which I’m super excited for! You can still expect music from me in the future. But more about that later!” Luckily nothing to worry about his music productions!
DJ Lauwy has been working on a new studio as well and started his own Web developing company. A lot of changes for him as you can read in his Instagram post. “I think I’ve spilled all the tea for now. A big change, but I’m excited!” he ends with.
