It’s not even a joke, but DJ Lauwy’s latest release “Immortal” came out on the 1st of April. Along with an April Fool’s joke about a new release with the one and only Armin van Buuren on DJ Lauwy’s Instagram story, a real track by DJ Lauwy went live on every global music portal.
It’s been a while since DJ Lauwy released an original song. The last one was “Purple Waves” back in December 2020. In 2021 DJ Lauwy mainly focused on covers and remixes, as he’s still working on a new studio album. That’s no secret anymore, but the release of that album have to wait. Due to his study and finals at the moment the album is having a delay. DJ Lauwy started working on the album back in the summer of 2019 and is still working on it. Details about this album have yet to be revealed. Will “Immortal” be one of the studio album’s tracks?
“Immortal” is about not giving up. About things which last a very long time. Sure, nothing is really immortal in this Universe if you want to think deep, but your thoughts, feelings and dreams could feel immortal to you. And that’s exactly what this song is about. I mean, we survived a pandemic?! Isn’t that an immortal feeling to you?
